WINEMAKING
The 2019 vintage saw an unusually dry summer and early autumn, coupled with the cool night-time temperatures allowed the vines to produce fruit with exceptional character and flavour while being harvested at lower degrees of sugar ripeness, producing vibrant, balanced, lower alcohol styles.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Pale straw
Bouquet: A classic Barossa Chardonnay with powerful aromas of peaches and cream, accented by sweet and aromatic spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and cardamom. Ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango coupled with the sweet scents of fresh brioche and croissants, and a hint of double cream and fresh cultured butter.
Palate: Flavours of fresh peach, pineapple and mango layered with clotted cream, spiced cinnamon buns, buttered toast and a hint of cheesy funk. The sweet-fruited, complex and densely flavoured palate is creamy and decadent; yet finishes crisp and clean thanks to carefully balanced acidity and excellent persistence of flavour.
